More Talk of Riya
As reading over another recently published article about Riya, a recently alpha-released photo sharing company, Google’s name came up again. RedHerring.com talks about the competitive advantage of Google purchasing Riya as a web service to be offered among the other dozens of services already being offered.
The problem is: Will the quality be up to what Google users are used to?

Riya.com’s acquisition by Google would help move Google back into the race of community against Yahoo!, whom acquired Flickr.com in March 2005. The community of Google eagerly looks forward to what the move will be and see whether or not the purchase becomes finalized. All we can do is sit back, wait, and maybe ask some more questions to find out more.
It has been rumored that Google is looking to buy Riya.com, an online photo sharing site. The numbers that are being talked about is a $40 million deal between the two companies. With the purchase of this online photo community, it would put Google right back up into the running for the latest innovations and products.
